A lot of the stuffing was taken out of the Prince Albert Raiders by the time they took to the ice on Monday night in a 5-2 defeat to the Moose Jaw Warriors. The Raiders just had arguably their fiercest battle of the season a night before in a 4-3 loss against the Regina Pats. But that wasn’t apparent early. Just 1:20 into the game, Raiders forward Evan Herman won the puck at his own blueline and flew down the ice to score on a breakaway and give the Raiders an early advantage. But after that energy boost to start the game, the Raiders’ energy seemed to crash when they got to the second period. They surrendered three goals in the period, and five straight overall to the Warriors. Riley Krane scored on the rebound midway through the first to tie it up, before the Warriors got goals from Tate Popple, Josh Hoekstra and Eric Alarie. Brayden Yager made it a five-goal Warrior run, before Reece Vitelli scored on the power play for the Raiders with 43 seconds remaining. ....

April 10, 2021 The Swift Current Broncos were unable to prevent a four-game losing streak in a 6-2 loss to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday. Ryder Korczak got behind the Broncos defense to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead in the first period with his second goal of the season. The Broncos tied the game in the second period when Jordan Borysiuk notched his second goal of the season on a screened point shot. The 1-1 tie lasted only 11 seconds as the Warriors added goals from Riley Krane, Logan Doust, and Korczak to lead 4-1 after two periods. Eric Alarie and Daemon Hunt added to the Warriors tally in the third period before Josh Davies scored on the power play for the Broncos to close the scoring. ....
