Indian physicist and Padma Shri awardee Rohini Godbole has been honoured with the Ordre National du Merite, which is one of the highest distinctions granted by the government of France to honour eminent persons. Godbole is working at the Centre for High Energy Physics (CHEP) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.
In the official communication sent to Dr Godbole, the French Embassy has recognised her achievements as “remarkable” in India and internationally for strong collaboration with French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) within the Indo-French Laboratory in Theoretical High Energy Physics. ....
