Etah (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 24 (IANS): The missing 21-year-old woman from Etah district has been found by a team of Uttar Pradesh Police from a house near Delhi s Karkardooma metro station on Wednesday, 35 days after she went missing .
Mohammad Javed, the main accused in abduction and unlawful conversion of the Hindu woman to Islam, remained elusive along with four of his close relatives.
The Etah police has approached a local court to issue non-bailable warrants against the five men who are on the run after being booked under the new anti-conversion law of the state. ....

A team of Uttar Pradesh police found a 21-year-old woman from a house near Delhi’s Karkardooma metro station on Wednesday, 35 days after she went “missing” from Etah district, reports Deepak Lavania.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Javed, the main accused of “abduction and unlawful conversion” of the Hindu woman to Islam along with four of his close relatives remained elusive.
Etah police approached a local court to issue non-bailable warrants against the five men who are booked under the new anti-conversion law of the state. The court issued the warrants in the afternoon. DSP Ram Niwas Singh said, “After six days, we managed to recover the woman from a house in Delhi. The main accused had kept her at his friend’s place. She is not willing to share any information about allegations of her abduction and unlawful conversion, as made by her father.” ....

AGRA: Eight more relatives of the 28-year-old Muslim man, on the run after being accused of “kidnapping and unlawfully converting” a Hindu woman to Islam, were on Tuesday booked and arrested. With the recent arrests, 14 members of Mohammad Javed’s family, mostly distant relatives, are behind the bars in Etah.
Sources in local police said that the arrests were meant to “create pressure” on the absconding couple to turn themselves in. Police believed that the woman was somewhere in Delhi, while Javed was still in UP, constantly changing his location. “Javed and his four close relatives are still absconding,” a police officer said, adding that they will also be arrested soon. ....

The FIR was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by the father of the woman on Thursday, when he received a letter sent by Javed’s lawyer from Delhi purportedly informing him about the woman s conversion and the subsequent marriage in a court.
DSP Ram Niwas Singh said, “FIR was registered against Javed and his family members under IPC section 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage, etc) and under the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religious Ordinance. Six persons have been arrested.”
Police said that the woman had been missing since November 17. “However, her family members did not approach police until Thursday,” a police officer said.
