Randy Larson and Cindee Henrichs run Spirits of Norway Vineyard in Racine County.
You won’t find Spirits of Norway Vineyard, 22200 Six Mile Road, Town of Norway, if you’re not looking. Tucked alongside fields in Racine County, the small vineyard and winery is on a dead-end road next door to the home of its owners.
When Randy Larson found this land, he knew he wanted to do something agricultural. He also loves wine. In 2012, he planted his first wine grapes. It started as a hobby, but in 2016 he started selling wines with Wisconsin-grown grapes. Today, he and Cindee Henrichs have 2.5 acres and produce around 2,500 cases each year with their grapes and other varieties imported from Europe and Chile.  ....

War profiteering, mercenary economic war, banking billions while communities retract, the homeless swell, and the sick and dying expand are just some of the juxtaposing features of this dirty thing called Capitalism.
And, sure, parasitic, zombie, casino, cutthroat, criminal, all those words, and many other modifiers, add to the cornucopia of how bad the bad is. Capitalism is hyphenated. ....

Ph.D. Graduate Shares His Passion for the Outdoors with the Next Generation of Students

April 18, 2021
For BYU Ph.D. graduate Steve Bates, the popular tune “Home on the Range” hits close to home. Since 1999, Bates has worked as the wildlife manager at Antelope Island State Park in Utah, and he knows a thing or two about the land “where the buffalo roam.” He’s accustomed to the dazzling sunrises and picturesque settings the island offers – and he’s dedicated much of his life to researching, preserving and protecting the wildlife living there.
Bates’ passion for wildlife stretches back to his childhood years, where he fondly recalls spending summers living in the mountains and working with his father, the game manager for Utah’s Division of Wildlife Resources. ....
