SRINAGAR: To take first hand appraisal of the infrastructure and patient care management in Covid care Hospitals, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today visited Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Chest Disease & TB Hospital Jammu, and Government Medical College Jammu.
During his visits, the Lt Governor enquired about number of patients being treated in the hospitals, patients discharged after recovery, availability of oxygen support beds.
The Lt Governor, while inspecting the functionality of Oxygen Generation Plants in the Hospitals, directed for effective rationalization of available resources to cater to the requirements of the patients. ....

Jammu, May 7: To take first hand appraisal of the infrastructure and patient care management in COVID care Hospitals, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today visited Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Chest Disease & TB Hospital Jammu and Government Medical College Jammu.

Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel attached with the
Pune railway station have been transferred to the headquarters after several complaints were received against them about harassing and extorting passengers.
The transfers were initiated by superintendent of railway police Sadanand Wapse-Patil. He alerted the GRP officer-in-charge to immediately release the personnel of their duties.
Railway authorities for years now have been receiving complaints from the passengers about harassment by GRP. Their target for most of the times has been migrant labourers, those coming from other states. These workers are mostly taken to corner spaces or aloof spots near the foot over-bridges. JAMMU, Apr 28: As the hospitals in both the capitals of Jammu and Kashmir are already facing an immense load due to routine admissions of the COVID-19 positive patients from all over the Union Territory, the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) Kashmir and Jammu today directed the hospitals in peripheries to refrain from referring patients to tertiary care hospitals.
While issuing the order in this connection, DHS Jammu Dr Renu Sharma has impressed upon all Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) and Medical Superintendents to ensure that there are no unnecessary referrals from districts to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu which is already overburdened with the load of COVID patients. ....

Jammu: With an aim to tackle the recent upsurge of Covid 19, Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education, Atal Dulloo today impressed upon the officers for effective implementation of the 5-pronged strategy in J&K which includes testing, containment, isolation & treatment, Covid appropriate behaviour and vaccination.
He made these remarks during a review meeting at Civil Secretariat here to analyse district wise Covid-19 scenario and the implementation of 5-pronged strategy to tackle the upsurge.
The FC directed the concerned officers to expedite the testing and vaccination drive, study the increase of the test positivity rate and take remedial measures accordingly. ....
