Clifton Hampden school gives boxes of socks to homeless

SCHOOLCHILDREN in South Oxfordshire have been running a charity appeal with a difference – collecting socks.
The pupils at Clifton Hampden CofE Primary School near Abingdon decided they wanted to help the homeless this winter, so they contacted the Gatehouse homeless centre in Oxford.
Operations manager Zoe Wright told the children that the centre was particularly short of socks, gloves and hats to give to its visitors, so the children set to work. ....
