Reno County COVID-19 hospitalizations up for the first time in months
The number of Reno County residents hospitalized for COVID-19 doubled over the weekend, reaching its highest level since mid-February.
Four people went to the hospital over the weekend, and the current number of local residents listed as hospitalized stood at six on Monday afternoon.
It was three on Friday. It had been three or fewer since Feb. 25.
While the health department is no longer listing demographic data for infections on its dashboard, Reno County Health Department assistant director Karen Hammersmith said “there’s a lot of young people” among the hospitalized. ....
