BUSES in part of Southampton are again being diverted. It follows an incident almost a month ago in which objects were thrown at City Red 2 buses, smashing some of the windows. Tonight managers took to Twitter to warn that buses were again having to take a different route. They said: Southampton City Red 2 is being diverted via Romsey Road, Maybush Corner to Lordshill Roundabout in both directions. No details have been given about the circumstances surrounding the decision to use the alternative route. City Red 2 buses operate between Wimpson and the city centre. In a statement issued after the December incident First Southampton said: Due to objects thrown at our buses, resulting in broken windows, all City Red 2 buses are being diverted via Romsey Road to Lordshill roundabout and then towards Shirley Road via Romsey Road. ....
