KITCHENER Police and fire officials in Waterloo are investigating more than a dozen suspicious fires that have happened in the city since early October. Each of the fires is being investigated independently, but officials are now trying to determine if any of them are related. In a news release, police called it an emerging trend, prompting the creation of a dedicated team that combines the Waterloo Regional Police Service, Waterloo Fire Rescue Services and the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal.
