The federation’s patron-in chief Sirajul Haq Yousafzai said the project could not be complete till date despite start of work 25 years ago, according to a press release issued here on Monday. He said due to a controversy between the PDA and a section of Afridi tribe the owners could not get possession of plots in zone 1. ....

KP CM okays giving more areas under PDA authority National April 26, 2021 PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has approved in principle to give six more areas of the provincial capital in the jurisdiction of the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA). An official handout said the chief minister chaired the fifth board meeting of PDA here. It said that the matter would be placed before the provincial government for final approval and consequently these areas would be notified as authority areas of PDA. The new areas proposed to be notified as authority area included Kohat Road upto Peshawar urban limits, Nasir Bagh Road commencing from Jamrud Road, Warsak Road from Khyber Road till northern by-pass, Charsadda Road commencing from Back Khan Chowk upto 7.5 kilometers and all areas notified for Gandhara City. ....
PDA board approves inclusion of six more localities in jurisdiction National April 26, 2021 PESHAWAR: The 5th Board Meeting of Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has approved in principle to give six more areas of the provincial capital in the jurisdiction of the authority. The approval was accorded in a meeting of the board held here at Chief Minister’s House with Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in the chair, said an official handout issued here on Sunday. Beside, Provincial Ministers Taimur Saleem Jhagra and Akbar Ayub, other members of the board and high ups of PDA also attended the meeting. Regi Model Town remain uncompleted after 28 years National April 15, 2021 PESHAWAR: The oldest and largest housing society of government employees at Peshawar Regi Model Town (RMT) could not be completed even passage of almost 28 years. Most of the employees who got plots in 1993 have died but their children have not yet got possession of the plots. The government has so far been able to open only two out of five zones in the housing society, but both zones also lack basic amenities. The PTI is in power since 2013 in KP but it couldn’t be able to settle the long-standing dispute of three zones of RMT. Authority has not built a single hospital in the whole society while Zone-IV has not a single mosque. Reggie Model Town residents are paying their gas bills at the LNG expensive tariff. ....
