BUCKS COUNTY, PA A Bristol man admitted stabbing his estranged wife with a butcher knife during an attack in August, officials in Bucks County said.
Walter Joseph Vandoren Jr., 44, of Bristol Township pleaded guilty Wednesday to attempted homicide and related charges.
According to information from the Bucks County District Attorney s office, which prosecuted the case, Bristol Borough police were dispatched to the 200 block of Buckley Street the morning of Aug. 3 after receiving 911 calls about a domestic assault. Callers said the victim was screaming for help. ....

BUCKS COUNTY, PA A former public official in Bucks County who had been missing for a week was found dead Thursday at Washington Crossing Park, police said.
David Nay, a 55-year-old Morrisville Borough resident and former councilman, was last seen leaving his home on April 29. Nay was found dead at the park after a two-day search, authorities said.
Solebury Township Police Department said they received a tip Wednesday that the white truck belonging to Nay was located at Washington Crossing Park on River Road. ....

CHURCHVILLE, PA A Northampton Township man is the latest Bucks Countian to face federal charges in connection with the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
Gary Edwards, 68, of Churchville, was taken into custody Sunday, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
In February, the FBI received a tip indicating that Edwards entered the Capitol building. The tip came in the form of screenshots of posts from the Facebook page of Lynn Feiler Edwards, the defendant s wife. The post, which was posted on Jan. 6 and deleted or removed from public view later that day, stated that her husband had been inside the Capitol building: ....

1 Killed In Bucks Co. House Fire

SOUTHAMPTON, PA An early-morning fire has killed one person in Bucks County, according to sources.
The fire was reported around 5 a.m. on Plum Street in Southampton.
When crews responded, they determined two people were inside at the time of the fire. One person was rescued, and another was pronounced dead at the scene, Action News reported.
