Taste Washington 2021 returns in March with takeout, at-home activities to support local restaurants

Taste Washington 2021 returns in March with takeout, at-home activities to support local restaurants by Callie Craighead, SeattlePI The event that Seattle foodies look forward to all year has finally announced its much-anticipated return: Taste Washington will commence this March with a whole host of takeout and stay-in activities. The 2020 installation of the beloved event was canceled as the COVID-19 pandemic began to take hold throughout the country last March. The festival, now in its 24th year, made the decision to pivot to online programming this year. For safety reasons and to comply with statewide regulations, we made the decision not to produce an in-person festival that attracts thousands of people indoors, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Visit Seattle Ali Daniels said in a news release. This year, we are focused on finding new ways to highlight everything that makes our state so delicious while letting safety lead the way.
