RESTORING pride in Middlewich is a top priority for re-elected Liberal Democrat Cllr Peter Hirst. The retired hospital physician was very pleased to win 34 per cent of votes in the Cledford by-election. Pride in the town is very important, said Cllr Hirst, who served as a town councillor for 16 years from 1999-2015. Middlewich was named as one of the top five places to live in England in 2014.
