One of the first signs that we were beginning to recover from this dark period of our lives was the release of a few new movies. With the recent re-opening of the Regal Theater at the Louisiana Boardwalk and a decent slate of movies at Tinseltown in Shreveport, things are once again showing signs of life.

Work to convert the former Aldi store in Stowmarket into a 24-hour gym is finally underway and it should be ready to open later this year.
The building was bought by Mid Suffolk District Council in 2018 in a bid to speed its regeneration and now national fitness chain PureGym has started work to fit out the premises.
PureGym received planning permission in late 2019 to run a 24-hour gym in the unit, creating 13 full-time and two part-time jobs, but original timescales were then delayed by Covid.

GILBERT, AZ â Regal Theatre will reopen its movie theater in Gilbert its only location in the state on Friday, May 14, seven months after temporarily closing all of its theaters during the ongoing pandemic.
In October 2020, Cineworld, which owns Regal Theatre, announced it would close all 536 of its theaters in the United States and the United Kingdom because of a lack of movies being released to theaters at the time and that some of its larger markets, such as New York, keeping theaters closed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Local unsung heroes of the Covid pandemic honoured with new Somerset Medal
Dedicated volunteers from Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge are among some of Somerset’s many unsung Coronavirus heroes who have been named as winners of the first ever Somerset Medal.
The Somerset Medal has been launched by Somerset County Council to say a heartfelt thank-you to the ‘best of the best’, with the winners announced on Somerset Day.
They include vaccination volunteers, food deliverers, PPE producers, pop-up shop keepers and a whole host of other good Samaritans who all went above and beyond to make sure Somerset kept going during the pandemic.
