In other action, it was a good night for other multi-time champions. 2-time Modified champ Adam Chadbourne and 3-time Outlaw Mini champ Jimmy Childs returned to their winning ways, each grabbing their first checkered flag of the year. 35 Glenville, NY Eighteen New York Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to the 1108th Company (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) said goodbye to their families during a ceremony held at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Glenville on February 13. The Soldiers departed for Fort Bliss, Texas on Valentin s Day, February 14. They will train there for 30 days before deploying to the Middle East. The company s Soldiers specialize in dealing with improvised explosive devices, and disposing of unexploded bombs, grenades, and shells. The explosive disposal experts will be part of Task Force Spartan Shield, the U.S. Army force in the region which is headquartered in Kuwait and operates across the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. ....
