Polls open to elect a new Highland councillor tomorrow.
The ballot was arranged after the death of Conservative councillor George Cruickshank last April, but is being held later than expected due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Currently the Aird and Loch Ness ward is represented by councillors Margaret Davidson, Helen Carmichael and Emma Knox.
In total, six candidates have put their names forward â five from Scotlandâs main political parties plus one independent. The winner is expected to be named on Friday.
