WESTMINSTER — Bellows Falls Union High School board member Jason Terry apologized Monday night for his verbal outburst last month at the school principal, saying he was just trying to protect his son.
“I would like to apologize for my behavior,” he said. “My passion got the best of me.”
“On March 23rd I was involved in a shouting match at Bellows Falls Union High School with Principal (Christopher) Hodsden and I own that. I found out recently that there were people at the high school who felt uncomfortable by that confrontation, and to anyone who feels this way you have my unequivocal apology. This will never happen again,” Terry said. ....

Superintendent takes out 'no trespass' order against school director after dispute

BELLOWS FALLS — Superintendent of School Christopher Pratt has taken out a ‘no trespass’ order against school director Jason Terry, which prohibits him from the grounds of Bellows Falls Union High School and its activities, after he got into a public dispute with Principal Christopher Hodsden.
The Windham Northeast Supervisory Union superintendent said Friday via email he took out the order out of concern for the faculty, staff and students at the high school after several of them witnessed a verbal confrontation between Terry and Hodsden late last month at the high school. ....

School director faces complaint of bullying school staff over son

BELLOWS FALLS — The school nurse at Bellows Falls Union High School demanded Monday night that a member of the BFUHS school board from Rockingham resign because of a bullying incident at the high school last month.
Nurse Rebecca Stockwell lodged the complaint against Director Jason Terry during a Rockingham School Board meeting. Terry, a Bellows Falls resident, is also a member of the Rockingham board.
Stockwell said that Terry, who was elected to the BFUHS board last month, violated numerous local and state school board ethics policies over bullying and harassment during an incident at the high school last month. She said Terry threatened school officials with the loss of their jobs and physical harm, and that the incident was witnessed by numerous students and school faculty. ....

ROCKINGHAM — Local author and 2021 Mrs. Vermont winner Rebecca Stockwell, RN has published a new book on Amazon.com: “Love Your Body: A 30 Day Journal,” designed to help women learn how to trust their bodies following a pregnancy loss or trauma. Stockwell is using the proceeds of her book sales to donate journals to Share, a national organization supporting women after miscarriage.
“When I suffered the loss of my second pregnancy in 2010 I felt so betrayed by my body,” said Stockwell. “I spent years neglecting my body, which affected my confidence the way I moved through my life.
