HAWTHORNE is an American medical TV series starring Jada Pinkett Smith as Christina Hawthorne, the headstrong yet empathetic Chief Nursing Officer at Richmond Trinity Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. A classic hospital drama except that it views the health system from the perspective of the day-to-day caregiver.
Christina is a woman described as having a God complex as she is hell-bent on doing anything to help her patients, which includes breaking the hospital’s rules, putting her in a regular collision course with the Hospital’s senior management.
