A Quad Counties municipality is asking you to shop local, if you can.
At Richmond Co.’s December regular council meeting Monday night, councillors issued a “Shop Local” proclamation declaring Dec. 21-24 days to buy from local business.
Afterward, Warden Amanda Mombouquette said small businesses still need our support.
“It was, again, a no brainer for us to be able to pass that kind of a proclamation,” she said. “But it’s not just to shop local during Christmas, it’s to shop local all the time, whenever you can to support local business owners, because they’re the people who support us.” ....
