A recent New York Post headline: “Inside the Luxury Apartments Luring New Yorkers to Dallas.” Never mind that it was a one-source story quoting only a real estate agent selling downtown’s Hall Arts Residences. The fact remains: an indeterminate number of New Yorkers are being lured. As for the Californians? Look at the headline of this story! ....
WOOSTER – A year after the Alice Noble Ice Arena narrowly avoided being converted into an indoor turf field, the rink has regained financial stability, if not profitability. The arena faces no threat of closure in the coming years, key backers say. Richard Graziano, who chairs the Northeast Ohio Ice Committee that formed by a group of community members in late 2019 to rescue the facility from its financial difficulties, said his group has raised just over $200,000 in pledges. NEO Ice, as the committee is called, collected $150,000 of the pledges in 2020, Graziano said, putting it on schedule for the amount community groups agreed to raise after the Donald and Alice Noble Foundation donated a similar amount to bail out the struggling facility in 2019. ....
Dennis House says he has a lifetime contract with the people of Connecticut. âThis is my next chapter,â House said, explaining his new job at WTNH-TV8 and its sister station, WCTX-TV59, which starts January 11. House worked at WFSB-TV3 for 28 years before leaving the station in September. âWhen I left Channel 3, it was always my intention to get back into television,â House said. âAnd this opportunity arose. We discussed it, we moved forward, and here I am.â House explained his new job title as âchief political anchor.â âThat is similar to what George Stephanopoulos has at ABC News,â House said. âThatâs his title. Iâll be doing fill-in anchoring and doing some political reporting.â ....
