RINGWOOD Town Football Club have partnered with the local council and AFC Bournemouth to redevelop the facilities at their Long Lane ground, in plans described as a “clear win” for the town. AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust and Ringwood Town Council has provided “significant investment” into the re-development of Long Lane, also known as the Macra Community Stadium. The site will continue to be the home of Ringwood Town FC and will enable staff and players associated with the Cherries’ Community Sports Trust to be based on site. Several community programmes will also be held at the ground. To help bring the project to life, the three organisations are being supported by New Forest District Council, the Football Foundation and Hampshire County FA. ....

Cllr Heron (Conservatives) remains the representative for the Lyndhurst and Fordingbridge division after receiving 3,027 votes. Hilary Brand (Liberal Democrats) came second with 1,063 votes followed by Janet Richards (Green) with 928 and James Swyer (Labour) with 443. In a Facebook post, Cllr Heron, who is also the leader of New Forest District Council and represents the Downlands and Forest ward, said: “Thank you to everyone who supported me to continue to serve as their representative for the Lyndhurst and Fordingbridge Division at Hampshire County Council.” There is also no change for the Ringwood division as Councillor Thierry (Conservatives) held on to his seat with 2,439 votes. ....

He last played in Pines’ 3-3 home draw with Fawkner-Whittlesea in the final round of the 2005 league season. Webster’s impressive CV also includes stints at Eastern Pride, Oakleigh Cannons, Dandenong Thunder, Morwell Pegasus, Casey Comets, Mornington, Doveton and Seaford United. His sole appearance for Seaford came in an FFA Cup tie against Brunswick Zebras last March which saw Seaford win 7-6 on penalties. ....
