Medics took a man with what looks like a gun shot to the chest out of Mexicue restaurant and loaded him into an ambulance. Another man on the street also looks like he took a bullet. Scary night on one of the busiest streets in DC
DC police confirmed the shooting and included a description of the suspect.

A later update at the Huffington Post noted that Bobic reported hearing “20 or 30 gunshots.”

One witness described the scene, saying that “it sounded like a war zone.”

Police issued an update with a description of a suspect and vehicle: “Lookout is for a B/M male wearing a lime green/yellow hooded sweater fleeing in a older black Honda Civic with DC Tags last seen eastbound towards S Street, NW.”
CBS News noted the gunshots rang out in an area “known for restaurants and bars.”
WUSA9 reports that one of the victims was shot in the arm and the other victim was shot in the chest.
A law enforcement source told WUSA9 the shooting “appeared to be targeted and not random.” Police are seeking a shooting suspect described as “a black man wearing a lime green and yellow hooded sweater.”
This is the second high-profile shooting in Washington, DC, in less than a week. The first occurred on June 17 when shots were fired near Nationals’ Park and three people were wounded.
