OVANDO, Mont. - It was a traumatic day for residents in Ovando where a grizzly bear killed a women at a campsite on Tuesday. The fatal bear attack happened around 3:30 a.m., in a town that s 60 miles Northwest of Helena. As of Tuesday evening, Fish, Wildlife & Parks, the Powell Sheriff s Office and Ovando Volunteer Firefighters were still searching for the bear. Resident Ray Francis couldn t believe it happened in his town that has less than 100 people. This is just devastating. It s a big biking community and I don t know what s gonna happen, Francis said. He s lived in Ovando for 25 years and said this has never happened before. ....
Published July 6, 2021, 1:44 PM A 30-year-old man was arrested by members of the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) during a buy-bust operation in possession of P340,000 worth of shabu hidden inside DVD cases in Paranaque City on Monday night. SPD Director Brig. Gen, Jimili Macaraeg identified the suspect as Roy Francis Tolesora. He is now detained at the SPD custodial detention facility and charges for violation of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, will be filed against him. Macaraeg said Tolesora was arrested by members of the DDEU along Angelina Canaynay Avenue, Barangay San Dionisio, Paranaque City at about 7:00 p.m. ....
