The scrapes in the paint were minimal along the side of a Jacksonville Fire Department truck after it was stolen and taken on a short-lived joyride. 
Cory M. Fisher, 30, of 910 Doolin Ave. was formally charged Monday with unlawful possession of a fire engine and criminal trespass to a motor vehicle. He is accused of stealing the firetruck from the front of the fire station at 200 W. Douglas Ave.  ....

Nathan A. Henson, 36, was charged in connection with the 2017 death of his pregnant wife, Jessie.
He initially was found in October 2019 to be neither fit nor not guilty by reason of mental insanity.
Henson appealed that decision and a state’s expert concurred with a defense expert that Henson was not guilty by reason of mental insanity, State’s Attorney Gray Noll said. After the state’s expert’s report was submitted, the judge overturned his original ruling and in April found Henson not guilty by reason of mental insanity. ....

A Meredosia man facing first-degree murder charges has asked for a new judge causing a switch in judges three times in the past month over claims he could not get a fair trial otherwise. 
Attorney Tom Piper on April 21 asked that Morgan County judges Chris Reif and Jefferey Tobin be recused from hearing the case against Dustin A. Finlaw, 21, of Meredosia. 
Reif has been the judge presiding over the case since 2018.  ....
