Mustangs adapt to pandemic protocols to complete another successful campaign on the links

Medford golfers adapt to pandemic protocols to finish 2-2 Dom Nicastro Special to Wicked Local When the Medford High School golf team learned its season last fall would not happen, its golfers did not sit idle. Local World War II veteran celebrates 95th birthday with parade

By Web Desk TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) - A local veteran celebrated an important milestone this week. Terre Haute native Ray Dyer turned 95 on Thursday. He served as a Marine during World War II and is also a former church pastor. Since the start of the pandemic, Dyer said, he has stayed home for safety reasons. So, to celebrate his big day, his church family drove by his home with signs and dropped off gifts. Those who organized the birthday surprise said Dyer has played a big role in their lives. He baptized all three of our daughters, married two of the daughters and performed the funeral for the third, Karen Scott said.
