Dubai opens mangrove forest at Jebel Ali to protect endangered species

The mangrove forest planted in the Jebel Ali Wildlife Sanctuary marks a decisive action towards earth restoration of a forest in the desert coastline of the UAE.
The project by the Emirates Marine Environmental Group and consumer goods giant Procter and Gamble (P&G) is in line with Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum s plan for more than half of the city to be transformed into nature reserves by 2040.
Located on the Dubai coastline, the P&G Dubai Mangrove Forest will set in an area comprising coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, and a natural beach. ....

Villar urges the public to help Restore Our Earth during Earth Day 2021 celebration; observes Las Pinas- Paranaque Wetland Park Anniversary
IN consonance with the theme of this year s Earth Day celebration on April 22, Restore Our Earth, Senator Cynthia A. Villar yesterday called on everyone to participate in initiatives to bring back a greener and healthier environment.
Villar also cited the global significance of the 175-hectare mangrove forest and marine habitat Las Piñas-Parañaque Wetland Park, one of the world s most important wetlands included in the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance. It was first declared a Critical Habitat And Ecotourism site in 2007 with the issuance of Proclamation No. 1412, series of 2007. And was legislated as a protected area under the E-NIPAS law in June 2018 ....

Everything you need to know about the new Dubai Mangrove Forest

On Monday, Emirates Marine Environmental Group (EMEG) and Procter & Gamble inaugurated what is soon to be a lush green haven along the desert coastline of Dubai.
Dubai Mangrove Forest is located at the Jebel Ali Wildlife Sanctuary. According to an official statement, the location is a United Nations protected reserve that is being managed by EMEG and has been included in the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance.
The initiative is in line with Dubai s plan for more than half the city to be transformed into natural reserves by 2040. It has also been developed in collaboration with The Storey Group and EcoMatcher which launched the One Billion Trees Initiative this year. ....

Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG), an award-winning international design architect, has officially established a permanent studio located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Riyadh studio becomes the fourth location in which BSBG has permanently established a presence, following on from its headquarters in Dubai in 1976 followed by Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) in 2016 and London in 2017.

BSBG had delivered its first project in Saudi Arabia almost a decade ago, and has since witnessed a continued demand among developers in the kingdom for its own brand of creative design and technical delivery expertise as a means of realising the ambitious targets set out in the Saudi Vision 2030, said the company in a statement. ....
