Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Kamal Nath and around a dozen other people escaped unhurt after an overcrowded elevator plunged from a height of 10 feet in an Indore hospital and its doors got jammed on Sunday. Indore: Kamal Nath, Jitu Patwari and few other Congress leaders had a narrow escape when an elevator at a pvt hospital dropped a few feet from ground floor yesterday. There were no injuries reported. The lift plunged from a height of about 10 feet following which its door was jammed for some time. Nath and others who boarded the lift were safe.

Former MP CM Kamal Nath s Narrow Escape After Hospital Lift Crashes Feb 22, 2021, 16:41 IST Madhya Pradesh: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Kamal Nath had a narrow escape after a lift he boarded at a hospital in Indore on Sunday suddenly came crashing down.  The incident happened as Kamal Nath, who is also the Madhya Pradesh Congress chief, and other party leaders were in the DNS Hospital to visit ailing party leader Rameshwar Patel. The lift he was on with party colleagues is said to have crashed from the first floor to the ground floor. All Congress leaders in the lift, including Nath and former ministers Jeetu Patwari and Sajjan Verma, however, escaped unhurt. Officials said the lift was likely overloaded due to which it crashed.
