May 11th, 2021 ― Doha: Many projects have been implemented by the foreign representation missions of Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) during the holy month of Ramadan, as part of its Ramadan Campaign 1442 A.H., under the theme of “Race to All That Is Good”.
In Jordan, food purchase vouchers were distributed by QRCS and Jordan National Red Crescent Society (JNRCS) to 2,655 families from Syrian refugees and vulnerable host communities in Amman, Irbid, and Mafraq, to improve their food security. There were certain criteria to select and prioritize the beneficiaries, who included 5,562 males, 5,562 females, and 7,955 children. ....

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State says the inauguration of a mosque in the Government House on June 4, will be part of activities to mark his administration’s 100 days in office.
Akeredolu, who was re-elected governor for a second term, said the mosque would be named after the late Alhaji Khalid Fawehinmi, a former Chairman, Ondo State Muslim Welfare Board, who died in 2020, to immortalise him.
The governor made this known on Sunday when he hosted some eminent Moslem leaders in the state to the breaking of Ramadan Iftar at the International Cultural and Event Centre in Akure. ....

The Moroccan Ambassador to Ghana, Her Excellency, Mrs. Imane Ouaadil, has hosted a special Iftar for Ghana’s clerics of the World s three major religions at her residence in Accra.
The Ramadan Iftar was attended by a representative of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Mustapha Ibrahim, the Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana, Archbishop Msgr Henryk Mieczysław Jagodziński, and the Chief Rabbi of the Jewish community in Ghana, Yisroel Noah Majesky.
The three clerics spoke about their various beliefs and eulogized one another’s virtues - calling for the strengthening of interfaith dialogue among the three Abrahamic faiths. ....

QRCS provides food, clothing aid to nearly 200,000 beneficiaries [EN/AR]

May 10th, 2021 ― Doha: The foreign representation missions of Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) have implemented the Ramadan Iftar, Zakat-ul-Fitr, and Eid Clothing projects in several countries during the holy month of Ramadan.
These activities are part of QRCS’s Ramadan Campaign 1442 A.H., under the theme of “Race to All That Is Good”. All necessary preventive measures were taken to ensure the safety of the recipients, including masks and social distancing.
In cooperation with the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS), QRCS provided food aid in the provinces of Bamyan, Faryab, Kabul, and Paktika, in order to improve food security rates for the poorest, neediest, and most conflict- and disaster-affected populations. ....
