The beloved landmark is home to margaritas, sopaipillas and a live entertainment. More than a year ago, the restaurant shut down. âWe were closed down because the [Colorado] regulations did not permit the business to operate, and then it was during the closure that we sustained some infrastructure issues,â said Robert Wheaton, the CEO of Summit Family Restaurants business that owns Casa Bonita. The goal is to re-open the restaurant by Sept. 1 or earlier. ....

I feel like it was neglected even before the pandemic,” Parker told the Reporter. Fans of both South Park and Casa Bonita have been suggesting for years that Parker and Stone would be the ideal owners of the giant eatertainment complex that opened at 6715 West Colfax Avenue in Lakewood back in 1974, but has seen tough times recently. Those suggestions have only gotten louder over the past sixteen months, since Casa Bonita closed its doors in March 2020. ....
