Boil advisory issued for Leary, Texas

LEARY, Texas (KSLA) - The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has issued a boil advisory for the City of Leary due to the system experiencing a loss of pressure on Saturday, April 10.
A power outage at the city’s pressure source caused the loss of water.
Residents will be notified when it is no longer necessary to boil water.

There isn’t much remaining of the town of Blooming Grove.
Once a rural enclave east of Lake Monona, most of the town over the years has been consumed by the cities of Madison and Monona.
It’s been dissected by Interstate 39-90 and the Beltline. The fire department was dissolved in 2015 and the town now receives fire protection and ambulance service from the Madison Fire Department. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office provides police services, but by 2027 what’s left of the town, much of it east of the interstate, will be absorbed by the city of Madison.
Located along Monona Drive and adjacent to the Monona Golf Course, the Nathaniel Dean House was constructed in 1856 for a more than 500-acre farm for Nathaniel and Harriet Dean, who had sold their dry goods store in Downtown Madison. ....
