Dave Zajac, Record-Journal January 05, 2021 09:36PM By Jesse Buchanan, Record-Journal staff SOUTHINGTON â The Planning and Zoning Commission approved the purchase of a small, wooded lot behind Oshana School Tuesday night, an open space acquisition thatâll provide room for wildlife and opportunities for students. The Town Council referred the potential purchase of the 3.6 acre-parcel to the PZC , but must vote on a final contract. Town officials and the property owner agreed to a $45,000 price. The commission unanimously recommended the purchase. Town records show the property is owned by Brian Donohue, who bought it in 1988 for $135,000. The town appraised the property at $114,600. ....
