Razer Core X External GPU Review

If you require strong PC gaming performance, traditionally that meant a desktop was your only option. However, the advent of modern high-speed external interfaces such as Thunderbolt has allowed for the integration of desktop-class graphics cards with laptops. These products, known as eGPUs, are an easy way to bring enhanced graphics performance to laptops without discrete graphics. Basically you put a desktop GPU in a special box and then plug that box into your laptop. The laptop then sends programs that need strong graphics power to run on that box.
All eGPUs on the market currently use the Thunderbolt interface. Intel and Apple designed Thunderbolt as just a fancy wrapping of the PCIe and DisplayPort interfaces in an external cable. This allows for a connection between PCIe devices and Thunderbolt-enabled laptops with a single controller chip. ....

The story on the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano is that it weighs in at 1.99 pounds. That s the headline. It s the fifth entry into the current ThinkPad X1 lineup, which is reserved for the best of the best, and it s all about being compact, thin, and light. It was announced back in September, but now it s finally hitting shelves.
Typically, a laptop that weighs under two pounds comes with some serious compromises, using a Y-series processor. This one has a Core i7-1160G7, which is Tiger Lake UP4, something that would have been called Y-series in the past. But now, it s got Iris Xe graphics and can actually have a TDP of up to 15W. Indeed, it s not as powerful as UP3 (Core i7-1165G7), but it s way better than those Y-series chips we got a couple of years ago. ....

Razer just had to put RGB lighting in this $330 Thunderbolt 4 dock

February 5th, 2021
Razer
We’ve seen a handful of manufacturers announce Thunderbolt 4 docks since Intel detailed the interface standard back in 2020, but few have come out with one as fancy as the one Razer just announced. The company’s new 10-port hub features about all the connections you could want. On the front, you’ll find a UHS-II SD card slot, 3.5mm audio jack and a Thunderbolt 4-compatible USB-C port capable of delivering up to 90W of power to your laptop while maintaining a 40 Gbps data transfer. On the back, meanwhile, you have access to three Thunderbolt 4-compatible USB-C ports, a Gigabit Ethernet connection and three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports. ....
