Al-Qaeda Not Completely Uprooted in Afghanistan: Officials
Today marks the 10th anniversary of the killing of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden by American special forces in 2011 in Pakistan, but the Afghan government says that the roots of the network are still alive in Afghanistan and the group still poses a threat to the country and the world and is collaborating with the Taliban.

Biden claimed “America’s longest war” had achieved its goal with the killing of 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden 10 years ago in Pakistan and the mitigation of the al-Qaeda terror threat. ....

KABUL: Afghan politicians hope that the government of Afghanistan and the Taliban will achieve a political agreement on peace ahead of the announced date for the withdrawal of international troops from Afghanistan, predicting that an otherwise scenario will not be in the country’s favor.
