By next Monday, April 12th, all Marylanders 16 and older will be eligible to schedule appointments and get vaccinated through all providers. The EOC encourages all Washington County residents to get vaccinated. We must work together to end COVID-19 in our communities across the County.
 
 
All Marylanders 16 and older are now eligible to get vaccinated at mass vaccination sites.The fastest and most effective way to get vaccinated at a mass vaccination site is by pre-registering for an appointment. To pre-register, visit covidvax.maryland.gov or by phone through the state’s COVID-19 Vaccination Support Center at 1-855-MD-GOVAX (1-855-634-6829). ....

Trademarket moves from Ōrewa to online only
Clive Walbran, owner of Ōrewa Trademarket, with his dog Louie. The business is going online only after Covid-19 made a physical store unsustainable.
Ōrewa Trademarket – a second-hand furniture and homeware business – has been on the same site for almost 43 years, tucked away on Tenzing Lane, off George Lowe Place.
Later this month that will change, as it becomes an entirely online store – a move that owner Clive Walbran says resulted from the impact of Covid-19 lockdowns.
Clive has been there for 25 years. He says having to be closed for level 3 and 4 lockdowns forced the business to re-focus on developing an online store. ....

Washington County’s positivity rate is now over 9%. As stated earlier this week, our numbers related to COVID-19 are going in the wrong direction. It will take all of us working together and following the CDC’s recommended health and safety measures to lower our numbers and stop the spread of COVID-19.
 
As many people will celebrate Easter this weekend and spring break over the next few days, the CDC has put out guidance found below.
 
 
Attending gatherings to observe religious and spiritual holidays increases your risk of getting and spreading COVID-19. The safest way to observe religious and spiritual holidays this year is to gather virtually, with people who live with you, or outside and at least 6 feet apart from others. ....
