Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, yesterday disclosed that contrary to the impression that the South-west governors were silent on the arrest and detention of the Yoruba Nationâs activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo (a.k.a Sunday Igboho) by the authorities of the Republic of Benin, âpeopleâ were working silently on the travails of the self-determination agitator.
Also, contrary to reports that the federal government was seeking the extradition of Igboho to Nigeria, one of his Beninoise lawyers, Prof. Ibrahim Salami, yesterday revealed that the Nigerian government has not requested his extradition from the Francophone country. ....

Makinde Orders Arrest of Masterminds of Eviction Notice to Herders

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has directed the state police command to immediately arrest masterminds of the call for the eviction of Fulani herders from the state as police yesterday took position in the troubled Igangan community, in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Sunday Adeyemo, a Yoruba youth leader better known as Sunday Igboho, had given a seven-day ultimatum to herders to vacate Igangan for their alleged role in the rising cases of kidnaping and banditry in the community.
When the ultimatum expired yesterday, Igboho visited Igangan, where he addressed a crowd of youth and insisted that the herders must vacate the town. ....
