TCC Using Federal Funds To Forgive Outstanding Balances For Thousands Of Students
Thousands of Tulsa Community College students who owe money to the school will have their balances forgiven.
Ultimately this about getting degrees, but that was tough during the worst of the pandemic when the school said students had to choose between enrolling for class and paying bills.
TCC said 41% of its students are struggling to pay for college and another 40% said they re in a worse financial situation after the pandemic.

YWCA Kicks Off Annual Stand Against Racism Campaign
Starting Thursday, the YWCA is kicking off the first day of its annual “Stand Against Racism” campaign.
There are four events taking place over the next few days as an initiative to address racial inequality when it comes to health issues both nationally and within the Tulsa community.
YWCA Tulsa CEO Julie Davis said their annual campaign is used to raise awareness of the negative impact of structural and institutional racism in our communities. This year’s theme is titled “From Declarations to Change: Addressing Racism as a Public Health Crisis” and will feature several events over the next four days. ....
