Elephant in India Who Was Made to Walk 1000 Miles in Spiked Chains is Finally Free!

Wildlife SOS has reported that Jai, a 50-year-old elephant who was made to walk in spiked chains is finally free! The elephant was forced to walk 1,000 miles is now free after the Rajasthan Forest Department contacted Wildlife SOS to help the elephant!
The chains caused excessive damage to Jai’s legs, including chronic wounds and infections. He will receive long-term treatment and care in the hands of Wildlife SOS and The Elephant Hospital in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh will also provide veterinary care for Jai.

Agra, Dec 16 : Fifty-year-old Jai can now breathe freely and enjoy his sunset years in comfort at the Elephant Hospital on the Agra-Mathura border.
Jai, the elephant, was forced to keep moving in spiked chains from villages to towns by beggars asking for alms.
The Rajasthan Forest department finally decided to book the offenders and secure the release of Jai, from the offenders. A lifetime of hardships ended and a new era has begun in the life of the hapless animal. ....
