With poor health infra, Kashmiris see lockdown as only prevention against COVID-19
Kashmir valley has poor healthcare facilities with just 2599 Covid beds, including 324 intensive care unit beds, for a population of more than 8 million people. Out of the total number of available beds, 1220 are already occupied.

PESHAWAR: Prof Dr Yaseen Khan, chairman of the Corona Task Force of the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), resigned from his position as a protest over the lack of personal protection equipment (PPEs), face masks and other items for the doctors and other healthcare providers to treat Covid-19 patients in the hospital.
Media manager of the hospital, Mohammad Aasim, however, denied reports of the lack of PPEs and face masks in the hospital, saying the issue emerged due to misunderstanding between the head of the task force and Manager Materials of the hospital. ....

SHOPS, pubs and hairdressers all flung their doors open to happy customers for the first time in three and a half months.
As lockdown continues to ease, Blackburn town centre was bustling with plenty of people seemingly excited to get out and about in town.
Independent business owners were definitely breathing a sigh of relief with Yaseen Khan, owner of The Emporium, a designer clothes store on Town Hall Street, saying he was optimistic as people had been calling him in advance of the opening to pre-order items of clothing.

2 die, 33 more test positive for Covid-19 in Nowshera

NOWSHERA: Two patients died of Covid-19 while 33 more tested positive for the viral infection in the district on Saturday.
With the new casualties, the fatalities from the coronavirus reached 67 in the district.
Briefing media, Deputy Commissioner Mir Reza Ozgen, District Health Officer Dr Gulman Shah and Dr Yaseen Khan said that 72-year old Saeed and Salim Khan were infected by the fatal virus and had been under treatment at the Qazi Medical Complex, Nowshera, for the last several days.
However, both the patients expired despite hectic efforts by the doctors to save their lives.
The officials said that the number of coronavirus-infected patients were increasing with passage of time as people were ignoring the standard operating procedures (SOPs) against the viral infection. ....
