Martyred constable laid to rest July 25, 2021 MARDAN: The funeral prayer of a martyred constable Munir Khan was offered at the Police Lines Mardan. Regional Police Officer (RPO) Mardan Range Yasin Farooq, Deputy Commissioner Habibullah Arif, SP Investigation Sanaullah Khan, Circle SDPOs and other police officers attended the funeral prayer. It may be noted that head constable Israr was martyred and two policemen Munir and Mansoor were injured in a firing incident at Babuzai area in the limits of Katlang Police Station in Mardan. The police officers placed bouquets on the coffin of the martyred cop. Later, the body of the cop was sent to his native village. ....
Gang of bank robbers busted National May 12, 2021 PESHAWAR: The police have busted the seven-member gang that robbed several of banks in the provincial capital and adjoining districts in the last five months, officials said on Tuesday. “The cops have recovered Rs22.8 million looted money from the held robbers. Raids are being conducted to arrest three other members of the ring,” said DIG Mardan Yasin Farooq told a press conference at the Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines here. Capital City Police Officer Abbas Ahsan and DIG Kohat Zafar Ali were also present on the occasion. Police station in Tank inaugurated National WANA: Regional Police Officer Yasin Farooq on Tuesday inaugurated a new police station in Tank district. Speaking at the ceremony, he said that Tank police performed duty bravely under difficult circumstances. He said that it was difficult to check crimes without cooperation from the civil society and media. The RPO said that police personnel and officers with good reputation and performance would be encouraged, while strict departmental action would be taken against negligent personnel. Yasin Farooq said that Tank was directly affected due to terrorist activities, adding that Police, the law-enforcement agencies and the people have rendered great sacrifices to restore peace.
