WASHINGTON – The Justice Department said Wednesday that a group of hackers from the main Chinese intelligence agency had infiltrated more than 100 companies and organizations around the world to steal information, hijack their networks and blackmail their victims.
The United States government presented the allegations in a series of three indictments that were not sealed on Wednesday, showing the scope and sophistication of China’s attempts to unfairly advance its economy and become the dominant global superpower through cyber-attacks. . Two Malaysian men who are wanted by the United States Department of Justice for alleged money laundering and cybercrimes in the country will remain in prison until their extradition application is heard by the Sessions Court, next week.

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Two Malaysian men who are wanted by the US Justice Department for alleged money laundering and cybercrimes in the country will remain in prison until their extradition application is heard by the Sessions Court next week.
This followed the decision of the High Court here Tuesday (Dec 15) to deny bail to businessman Wong Ong Hua, 46, and computer analyst Ling Yang Ching, 32, who will be charged in the United States with 23 counts including of identity theft, access device fraud, Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) violations, and falsely registering domain names.
Judicial Commissioner Datuk Aslam Zainuddin rejected the bail application after listening to arguments from deputy public prosecutor Mohd Ashrof Adrin Kamarul and lawyer Datuk Zamani Ibrahim who represented Wong and Ling. ....
