Fearing his gaming buddy could be hinting at self-harm, the best mate tried to get in touch with Donaldson, 41. Call me please Matt!! he wrote in a 6.54am message. Hours later, NSW Police accused Donaldson, 41, from Sydney s west, of attempting to murder a Belarussian woman in her 30s in a city s five-star hotel room on Tuesday night. Detectives allege that Donaldson assaulted the woman with a small sledgehammer in a suite at the Primus Hotel on Pitt St, where rooms advertise for $300 a night. ....

Matthew Donaldson, 41, is wanted for attempted murder after a Belarusian woman aged in her early 30s was left clinging to life when she was allegedly assaulted at the Primus Hotel in Sydney s CBD, on Tuesday night. Cops raided a home at Kingswood, in the city s west, late on Wednesday afternoon as they hunted Donaldson but now believe he is in the nearby Blue Mountains region - and armed with a gun.
