We d have just finished a rollicking weekend that included the Mardi Gras Parade, and the small mountain town would be dotted with dozens of sculptures all carved out of ice and snow, and all having something to do with whatever this year s theme was going to be. ....
The tree is down. The lights are back in their boxes. You re still trying to figure out how to assemble some of the toys Santa brought your littles. Yes, we re into the grey, blah days of January in the Treasure Valley. Normally, those post holiday blues don t last long because we start looking forward to McCall Winter Carnival. Unfortunately, the McCall Chamber made the difficult decision in early December to cancel the 2021 festival in the interest of public health safety. The festival typically draws thousands of visitors and while they made the decision to discourage crowds, they hope that people will still visit McCall to experience everything winter in the resort town has to offer and support local businesses. ....
