Laredo Border Patrol agent accused of pulling out handgun at coffee shop in Hidalgo County Feb. 1, 2021 FacebookTwitterEmail Saldivar/ A Border Patrol agent assigned to the Laredo Sector was arrested last week in Edinburg, Texas for allegedly pulling out a handgun at a coffee shop several times, possessing Xanax and driving while intoxicated. According to an affidavit obtained by the McAllen Monitor, Edinburg Police were dispatched to a coffee shop around 8 a.m. Tuesday in response to man in his car allegedly displaying a gun. Police interviewed David Saldivar, 42, who admitted to taking Xanax and gave consent for them to search his bag, per the affidavit. An officer discovered a 9 millimeter handgun in the bag and a bottle of Farmapram. ....

The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports Brady Pratt, who grew up in the Adirondacks hamlet of Bloomingdale, N.Y., and graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 2004, was on a road trip last Sunday, Dec. 20, with his family to pick up furniture in Corpus Christi for their home in McAllen, Texas. Along the way, they came upon a fiery head-on crash with two vehicles in Nueces County. According to The McAllen Monitor, a male driver traveling east on FM 665 was passing multiple vehicles at an “unsafe speed” when it struck an SUV with two women and two children heading west. Both vehicles rolled off the road and caught fire. ....
