The LA County Department of Public Health issued a health alert for beaches near Dockweiler and El Segundo due to elevated bacteria levels.
According to the health department there currently isn t any sewage being discharged into the ocean but bacteria levels often fluctuate.
These are the beaches currently affected:
El Segundo Beach at the Grand Avenue storm drain (Near Dockweiler Tower 60)
Dockweiler State Beach at Ballona Creek (near Dockweiler Tower 40);
Culver Blvd storm drain; Hyperion Plant outfall; Imperial Highway storm drain (Dockweiler Tower 56); Westchester storm drain; and World Way extension.
Other beaches to avoid:

High bacteria levels at beaches near the site of a massive sewage discharge in Playa del Rey have prompted Los Angeles County health officials to issue a warning about going in the water.
The L.A. County Department of Public Health did not rule out a link between the 17-million-gallon sewage release from the Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant on July 11 and the rise in bacteria. ....
