Published July 19, 2021, 2:13 PM LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A barangay chairman was shot dead by a lone gunman while driving his motorcycle in Barangay Lubong, Bangued, Abra, Monday, July 19. Information officer Capt. Marnie Abellanida of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera said the victim, Robert Villastiqui, chairman of Barangay Lubong, Bangued, was killed at 6:20 a.m. A report from the Bangued Municipal Police Station showed that Villastiqui was driving his motorcycle to buy cigarettes when he was repeatedly shot by an unidentified man. The victim died on the spot from several bullet wounds in the body. The gunman, who was wearing a red long-sleeved shirt, black short pants, and bull cap, fled on foot towards Casili East, Bangued after the shooting. ....
