Reuters Two people were injured in an explosion on Rama IV Road in Bangkok, near Samyan Mitrtown complex, the site of a gathering of pro-democracy protesters. On Saturday, the protesters started gathering in front of the complex from late afternoon, demanding the release of two protest leaders who had been arrested at Victory Monument in the afternoon. The explosion occurred at around 6pm and two people were injured – a citizen and a reporter. The two protest leaders are from the pro-democracy group Guard Plod Aek. The group held a gathering at the monument for protesters to write their opinions on a long fabric banner about Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s failures in handling crisis situations, as well as urging the abolition of the lese majeste law, also known as Article 112, as symbolised by the 112m-long banner. ....
