Forge Biologics, Case Western Reserve University launch gene therapy workforce development partnership

With the goal of training and attracting top talent, Columbus-based gene therapy company Forge Biologics has launched the Forge Forward gene therapy workforce development program in partnership with the National Center for Regenerative Medicine (NCRM) at Case Western Reserve University, according to a news release.
Forge Biologics a gene therapy-focused contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) aims to attract talent with specialized Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) training to the company in Columbus and beyond as it grows.
The gene therapy manufacturing boom has created an unmet workforce demand whose training will be foundational for the success of the gene therapy industry, said Timothy J. Forge Mill Needle Museum in Redditch secures National Lottery grant


RUBICON Leisure has received a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant of £35,700 for a new project at Forge Mill Needle Museum in Redditch.
Made possible by money raised by National Lottery players, the Forging Forward project looks towards making some exciting developments to the site following its year of closure.
The project looks to make some immediate changes to benefit local people with the introduction of Forest School activities at both the Museum and the Arrow Valley Visitor Centre.
Improvements will also be made to the museum’s small function room to welcome back both community groups and private hirers.
The project will also benefit those who live further afield with the addition of an online catalogue to the museum’s website. This will enable researchers to search the wide ranging archives held by the museum and request copies. ....
