By Brandon James May 7, 2021 5:58 AM KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Kalamazoo police say they have a suspect in custody connected to a shooting that happened in late April. Investigations led them to determine 20-year-old Dondrell Servant of Oshtemo Township was involved and he has been arrested in connection to the crime. In the early morning of April 29, officers responded to the 1300 block of N. Rose St. where a 17-year-old victim was suffering from several gunshot wounds. The teen was taken to the hospital that night and although he is expected to survive, he has suffered severe trauma. Servant was arrested on Tuesday. ....
Benton Harbor Public Safety Director provides update on Saturday’s shooting By: Kate Luce BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – An arrest has been made in connection with the Benton Harbor shooting that happened Saturday night, according to Dan McGinnis, Benton Harbor Safety Director. The suspect who has been arrested is Decorey Monte Harris II, a 27-year-old. The supposed murder weapon has also been recovered by police, McGinnis said. Harris is being charged with Open Murder, Assault with the Intent to Murder, Felony Firearm and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. The shooting took place on a vacant lot, across the street from Robbins Brothers Funeral Home on South Fair Avenue around 8:20 p.m. on Saturday. ....

Fabius Township drug bust - Courtesy St. Joseph County Sheriff s office FABIUS TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Two people were arrested in St. Joseph County over the weekend on several drug-related charges following a traffic stop. Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says a 33-year-old Three Rivers woman and a 42-year-old Dowagiac man were taken into custody in the 10000 block of Dutch Settlement Rd in Fabius Township. A search of the vehicle revealed over 45 grams of suspected meth, packaging materials, a large amount of cash as well as a loaded firearm. The 33-year-old female is in custody for Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine. The 42-year-old male is in custody for Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felony Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and several misdemeanor offenses. ....
