IPOH: A beef stall owner and his wife are upset that they have been targeted in a viral message claiming that they have Covid-19.
Norlaili Mohd Zain, 62, said the message, which went viral on Sunday (May 30), had affected their business at the Tanjung Rambutan wet market.
Norlaili said the message contained an old picture of her 60-year-old husband Meor Badioz Zulkifli Zaman and claimed that he has Covid-19. We were told that someone had lodged a complaint with the Ipoh City Council. My husband was then instructed by an enforcement officer and the police to do a swab test, she told a press conference held by Tambun Parti Putra Perkasa Malaysia chief Azrul Suhadi Ahmad Mokhtar at the market on Thursday (June 3).

KUALA LUMPUR: The Light Rail Transit (LRT) service in the Klang Valley is operating as usual from 6 am to midnight during the Movement Control Order (MCO) which is being enforced in six districts in Selangor from today until May 17.
LRT chief operating officer LRT Azmi Mohd Zain, however, said, the number of passengers was declining, including during peak hours, as well as in the station’s waiting area.
“The level of passenger capacity since implementation of MCO last year has only reached 45 percent, so there is no need to worry about overcrowding in the trains or congestion at the stations because the standard operating procedure (SOP) for cleaning in the LRT runs as usual,“ he told reporters when observing operation of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) from Kajang to KL Sentral today.

The operation hours for all Rapid KL rail and bus services by Prasarana will be unchanged following the return of the Movement Control Order (MCO) for six districts in Selangor as well as Kuala Lumpur. The MCO kicked off in the Selangor districts of Gombak, Hulu Langat, Klang, Kuala Langat, Petaling and Sepang today, and will go on till May 17. KL’s MCO starts tomorrow and will be in place until May 20.
All rail and bus services will operate from 6am till 12 midnight during the MCO; and the LRT, MRT and Monorail trains will follow the existing schedule, according to Prasarana’s LRT COO Azmi Mohd Zain, reported by

pic) said eight ETS services will be operated instead of 12. Each route will have two services. The routes are Gemas-Padang Besar; KL Sentral-Ipoh; and KL Sentral-Butterworth. The services for the KL Sentral-Butterworth route are with business class coaches, he said in a statement on Thursday (April 29).
There will be four Ekspres Selatan services in the Gemas-Johor Baru Sentral sector every day, compared to six previously, he added. The Timuran Shuttle at the Kuala Lipis-Tumpat sector is still running with 10 services. Ekspres Rakyat Timuran will still operate two services daily from Thursday until Sunday, he added.
