LABUAN: An activist here lamented the felling of healthy priceless African Mahogany trees saying it now appears that even the environment on the island is taking a beating after its economy was virtually destroyed by almost 40 years of Federal Territory rule.
LABUAN: About 20 African mahogany trees on the roadside of Jalan Tun Mustapha were felled without explanation recently and while the branches has been removed the sawn tree trunk remain at site serving as a grim reminder of the island’s vanishing green assets.
